Prof Mike Young's talk, 14th April.

Prof. Young, from Adelaide University, gave an interesting and thought provoking talk to a packed Milang Institute on the 14th April.
His subject, "A Future-proof Basin - A new water management regime for the Murray-Darling Basin", about the need to rapidly re-organise the water allocation system in the MDB, produced many questions and lively discussion.

The PM's visit 5 July 2008

On 5th July 2008, the Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, with SA Premier, Mike Rann, SA Senator and Water Minister Penny Wong visited the shore of Lake Alexandrina near Milang.

Rally for the River, 1st August 2008

Organised by the Mannum Progress Association, the Rally on Parliament House steps in Adelaide today was a huge success. An estimated 3000 people turned out in the drizzle with posters and banners from the whole of the Lower Murray from Goolwa up.

2008 Waterkeepers Conference

The waterkeepers conference was held in Goolwa 24 - 27 October. Report to follow.
