Rally for the River, 1 August 2008

Organised by the Mannum Progress Association, the Rally on Parliament House steps in Adelaide today was a huge success. An estimated 3000 people turned out in the drizzle with posters and banners from the whole of the Lower Murray from Goolwa up.

Kathryn Rothe (from Murray Bridge) opened proceedings by performing her song about the Murray
and also led the crowd in singing "We are Australian" to finish the rally.
